We at Hitz are in the middle of Nursing Home Week, a time of year to show our appreciation for our staff and our residents. So, to celebrate we had a carnival Tuesday, May 16th. To say it was a hit would be an understatement! To see the smiles and lit up faces of our residents and staff made all our hard work worth it. Residents were already asking if we will do it again and if would could make certain games a regular activity.
We had snacks, games, a photo booth, and the main attraction Pie in the Face. Our favorite Rehab Director, Chrissy, who had been with us many years, retired and had to say goodbye to Hitz; but, she came back so our residents could smoosh pies on her (we promise she volunteered and had a blast!). I don’t know who had more fun, Chrissy, the residents lucky enough to pile whipped cream on her, or everyone else who watched!
